WrongTranslation

On this site you probably find a lot of wrong translations or other mistakes.
Not only because I am a dyslectic, but also because I only know a bit of English and Dutch, but not all the other languages you can find on this site.

Please help me to fix the mistakes.
Errors found in the wiki part of the site you can fix by using the 'edit' button on the upper right and bottom of each page.
Errors found in other parts of the site (or when you have problems editing the wiki), please send me an email containing

• the URL of the page with the error,
• the error and fix,
• the subject 'JB Site Fix'.

I will fix accordingly.

The Jungle Book – Der Dschungelbub?

It’s another translation gone wrong. The poster was advertising a children’s cinema showing the Jungle Book and used a picture from the 1967 animated film.

The German word for jungle is “Dschungel”, the word for book is “Buch”. Hence the film is called “Das Dschungelbuch”.

Unfortunately it somehow became translated as “Dschungelbub” – “Bub” being the word for a young boy.

Well, I guess it fits in with the film…
